Project Description
For a new industrial-scale Photovoltaic Power Plant in Hungary, the design, construction, and operations company Solarpro required a powerful and versatile command center. They selected Iotellect SCADA/HMI for its rich, non-typical functionality, trusting it to handle every aspect of integration, visualization, and analytics for the massive project.
The solution was implemented to monitor and manage energy production data across the entire solar plant in real time, support technical operation and maintenance teams, and calculate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). By collecting and aggregating historical data from every device, the system enables deep analytical reporting on a per-device or per-section basis.
The platform also introduced remote control capabilities for field equipment and a sophisticated algorithm for forecasting future energy production. Operators and stakeholders receive instant alerts and alarms, enabling an immediate response to any developing situation.
Hardware and Environment
- The Iotellect platform controls and monitors a vast array of industrial equipment, including 440 inverters, 76,000 solar panels, medium and low-voltage transformer stations, and various meteorological sensors.
- The supporting monitoring infrastructure consists of a central server, inverter data collection loggers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and an IT fiber-optic network.
