Project Description
A lean solar power plant monitoring scheme now tracks, in near real time, the electricity flowing from seven photovoltaic arrays perched atop elder-care residences. Each roof feeds production data through Danfoss and ABB (Aurora One) inverters to a WebCom PLC, which in turn auto-uploads files to an FTP server for instant display and archival analysis. With a glance, facility managers can verify output, spot anomalies and document the savings racked up in kilowatt-hours and carbon avoided through rooftop solar monitoring and photovoltaic monitoring.
